Stichting SLNL zet zich in voor verbinding en ontwikkeling. Met activiteiten voor jongeren, culturele evenementen en projecten die bijdragen aan een sterke gemeenschap, creëren wij kansen en inspiratie.
Somaliland
Somaliland is een zelfverklaarde staat in de Hoorn van Afrika, met een rijke geschiedenis, een sterke identiteit en een trotse gemeenschap. Hoewel het internationaal nog niet erkend is, heeft Somaliland zijn eigen regering, vlag en een stabiele samenleving opgebouwd. De bevolking hecht veel waarde aan cultuur, tradities en onderlinge solidariteit.
In Nederland
In Nederland woont een groeiende gemeenschap met roots in Somaliland. Zij dragen bij aan de Nederlandse samenleving en behouden tegelijkertijd hun band met hun afkomst. Veel jongeren zoeken manieren om hun Somalilandse achtergrond te verbinden met hun leven in Nederland, via educatie, cultuur, sport en ondernemerschap.
De rol van de stichting
Stichting SLNL wil een brug slaan tussen beide werelden. Enerzijds door activiteiten en projecten die de Somalilandse gemeenschap in Nederland versterken, anderzijds door bewustwording en samenwerking te stimuleren tussen Nederland en Somaliland.
